Ways these Denver Broncos and the 'play-dough' QB could stop the Chiefs' rule.

Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage includes text commentary of Sunday's games via various channels, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash in London (from 14:00 BST). Also, radio commentary is available on select stations for another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).

We're in the sixth week of the NFL season , after recent discussion regarding two top teams being a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both surrendered their unbeaten records.

Striking in those games was the number of infractions each committed. The Eagles did so in key moments meaning they kind of beat themselves having led by two touchdowns entering the final quarter versus the Denver Broncos, set to play overseas this weekend.

However it proved positive to observe how Denver quarterback the rookie managed to have that deficit before direct three successful possessions in three attempts in the fourth quarter, securing the game by four points.

The Broncos boast the top defender in cornerback their star corner. They rank first in red zone defence, while the Eagles are number one in scoring near the end zone, yet Denver won that contest.

They executed the Eagles' number in terms of disguised blitzes. They did not necessarily sending extra pass rushers but they could plug two linebackers in the 'A' gap then drop them out and send a slot defender off the edge.

Early on of the season, we said during a show how Denver might emerge as the current year's surprise contenders. They ended last season well then excelled of building upon that.

Could Denver be this season's dark horses?

New TE Evan Engram has excelled big and recent RB their rusher is a player they believe in. He's currently 5th in the NFL in ground gains (402) and tied-fourth in rushing scores (4).

I love that the coach the Broncos' leader has "RUN IT!" at the top of his playcall sheet.

This demonstrates that the Broncos represent a squad aiming to prioritize the run, since you can achieve much based on that approach. It slows opposing rushes and keeps you in favourable down and distances.

It's also benefited QB the young passer, who came the NFL as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, passing for 29 TDs – just behind a star QB for the rookie record (31 back in 2020).

Other elite QBs have the arm strength to pass all over, but they lack the mobility as Nix. He boasts exceptional passing ability, which is different, and he is so athletic.

His assets are his movement, being able to throw while moving, as well as using different arm angles to make throws when he rolls out of the pocket, on rollouts. He can throw precision throws across the middle and past defenders.

As a rookie QB, at 25, he's got great poise in the pocket and is not really fazed by the blitz. He aims to avoid being tackled as much as possible and can throw in tight spots. He has a high football IQ and is very decisive.

When you consistently rush it consumes the clock and forces the opponent to be on the field extended periods, and if you have a mobile QB the defense must defend the area downfield side to side. It can be exhausting.

Nix has bitten back at Payton during games at times and it seems Payton likes that fire, seeing him as such a competitor. I think it's exciting for him to have a young quarterback who's kind of like play-dough. The coach can really develop him how he desires to shape him. I believe it's a special experience for the coach.

The head coach has won a championship and now passed a legend for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed everything. In my opinion the success Denver are having on offence is mostly due to his guidance, his play-calling, his game sense – and the pairing with Nix aids shape him into who he is.

You wouldn't want a more qualified person guiding you, to assist you through some of the tougher situations and build confidence.

I believe in Denver's defence, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. Yet is the team strong enough to go against a top squad at full strength? Since that wasn't a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia last Sunday.

Right now, it's unlikely Denver are elite. They're performing better than most, that's a solid position to be in the AFC West. The key is to continue this trajectory.

They're really good at leaning into their strength, that is running the ball, and that's exactly what they should do against the New York Jets in London. It's going to be a Dobbins-focused game, in essence.

New York have allowed 140 rushing yards each contest (sixth worst), five rushing touchdowns so far (10th worst), and they are the only team yet to win a game.

Since the NFL began tracking takeaways in 1933, this team are the inaugural squad to be without any turnovers through five games, this is surprising considering that the head coach was previously defensive co-ordinator with another team.

The Chiefs' QB stated Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' following a recent loss by the Jaguars.

After the upcoming matchup, the Broncos have a manageable slate until their break (in week twelve) - the Giants, the Cowboys, Houston Texans and the Raiders before the Chiefs.

In the AFC West, Kansas City hold a losing record and the Broncos are tied with the Los Angeles Chargers at 3-2 so they could challenge at leading the division.

It depends upon what version Kansas City shows up they meet because the Broncos {beat|def
