Southern State's Weather Woes
Meanwhile, approximately 1,000 residents in Victoria also experienced electricity disruptions after Melbourne saw its heaviest rainfall in over 500 days.
Emergency response teams responded to 598 calls for help across the region, mostly for structural issues but also for downed trees and flooding.

Damp conditions were expected to linger along large portions of eastern Queensland this coming days as a weather pattern continued to attract humidity against the coastal areas.
The following day was forecast to be the heaviest precipitation period, with continued severe weather risk predicted across different parts of both states.
