Eurovision Used to Be a Campy Joy – However It Has Evolved Into a Calculated Tool to Whitewash War.

The Show Goes On While Ignoring Staggering Tragedy

The contest reaches its seventieth anniversary next year – roughly two times the current lifespan of an individual in Gaza now. The broadcast will air, but it will find it impossible to reclaim the pure, unadulterated fun it was formerly known for. An institution that was originally built on harmony has now become a transparent instrument to sanitize military aggression.
